I bought a house! A real, top floor, attic-style house. And I love it. But it’s a tricky space and needs some definite work to make it a home. There will be an episode about each home improvement/DIY project I do in here, but before I get to the projects I want to show you the real before.
Please excuse the echoes. I don’t have furniture yet, so it sounds like I’m in a wind tunnel. Maybe it’s time to invest in a microphone?…or perhaps just some furniture.
I am a sucker for Anthropologie. Trust me when I say that it is a dangerous game for me to go into that store. When I enter I’m always filled with the feeling, “Yes. This is my life. This is what my life should be.” I need these clothes so that I can be effortlessly stylish. All the home goods are a must because – how on earth was I entertaining without them?? And, while I admit that Anthro has things that I can never DIY knockoff, there is one item that I’ve seen used over and over again that costs nothing to make. The pom pom. You may not have realized it, but Anthro puts the yarn pom pom on bookmarks, hats, curtains, table setting cards – you name it. And now, rather than spending 20 bucks or more on a yarn poof for something you should already own because how else did people know where to sit at your dinner parties…You can make it!
There are so many ways to use the pom pom, but I show two quick and easy decor/practical uses.
I would love to see the creative ways you use them, so please post and share!
